Obtaining a degree is invariably advantageous for one’s career; however, financial obstacles can pose significant challenges. To address this issue, we are pleased to announce the availability of New Venture Fellowships aimed at exceptional students.
Candidates for these fellowships are required to be engaged in active research, possessing at least two years of postdoctoral research experience and no more than two years in a role as an independent group leader at the time of their application. The projects proposed must make a substantial contribution to our comprehension of biological processes and encourage interdisciplinary research.

Eligibility Criteria for EMBO New Venture Fellowship:
- Minimum two years of postdoctoral research experience.
- No more than two years of experience as an independent group leader.
- Proposed project must have biological significance.
- Must promote interdisciplinary research and form new collaborations.
- Must involve research at the host lab, not consultations or attending courses/workshops.
The EMBO New Venture Fellowship welcomes applications from researchers hailing from EMBC Member States, Associated Member States, and Cooperation Partners.
