Scholarship Description:

Fulbright Romania Student Award 2025/2026 (Fully Funded) is open for International Students from Romania. The scholarship allows Masters, Research level program(s) in the field of All Subjects taught at Romania Universities . The deadline of the scholarship is 13 May 2024.

Degree Level: Fulbright Romania Student Award 2025/2026 (Fully Funded) is available to undertake Masters, Research level programs at Romania Universities.

Grant duration:

  • The applicants pursuing master programs will apply for a 9-month grant (one academic year). Second-year costs may be covered depending on funds availability as well as on proof of good academic standing during the first year of study.
  • The applicants pursuing research programs can opt for minimum 4 months – maximum 9 months.

The U.S. academic year usually starts in mid-August. The ongoing Fulbright Student competition is for grants in the academic year 2025-2026.

The Fulbright Student Award provides:

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship is open to students with Romanian citizenship.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible for this award:
  • have Romanian citizenship; green card holders and persons with dual (Romanian and U.S.) citizenship are ineligible;
  • hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (BA students may apply if they are in their final year of undergraduate study);
  • have English proficiency;
  • if applying in law, applicants must hold a degree in that field.

Applicant are also expected to meet these requirements too:

  • be representative and responsible citizens, with a demonstrable potential to contribute to the mutual understanding of culture and values in Romania and the U.S;
  • share the acquired professional experience or disseminate results of the research upon return, contributing to their specific area of knowledge;
  • show motivation and flexibility necessary to adapt effectively to life in the United States

Application Procedure:

Documents Required for a Successful Application Submission:

  • An Online Application Form  (You need to submit it with all the required documents)
  • Three Letters of Recommendation from University Professors or Romanian/Foreign Professionals (submit it in the online application form or via email office@fulbright.ro
  • Academic Transcripts and diplomas for all undergraduate and graduate levels (accompanied by translations, scanned and uploaded to the online application form)

NOTE: Standardized tests are not obligatory in the first stages of the competition. Score reports will be required prior to October 30, 2024. Test vouchers for exam registration will be provided only to the Romanian final nominees who must take TOEFL (for research) and TOEFL, GRE or GMAT (for master’s degree).
