We are pleased to announce the introduction of the Belfast Legacy Award, in partnership with Belfast City Council, to offer the chance for 10 One Young World Ambassadors from various parts of Northern Ireland to participate in the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal/Tiohtià:ke from 18 – 21 September.
Building on the success of the historic 2023 Summit in Belfast, which commemorated the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, a panel of judges assembled by One Young World will select 10 Ambassadors residing in Belfast who have demonstrated a sustained positive influence in the community following the event.
Selected Ambassadors will get:
- Admission to the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal/Tiohtià:ke, Canada
- Lodging in Montréal from September 18th to 21st, 2024
- Round-trip travel to Montréal (economy flights) covered by Belfast City Council
- Meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Transportation between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue
- Eligibility Criteria for One Young World Belfast Legacy Award
- Must be a current One Young World Ambassador.
- Must reside in and be actively contributing to Belfast.
- Must have a proven history of making a meaningful difference in their local communities.
- Must show continuous dedication to participating in the One Young World Community.
