Clark University Presidential Undergraduate Scholarships for International Students

The Clark University Presidential Scholarships provide financial support to international undergraduate students through the esteemed Liberal Education and Effective Practice (LEEP) program.

This scholarship initiative is an integral component of Clark University’s innovative educational framework, LEEP, which merges a comprehensive liberal arts education with meaningful real-world and workplace experiences for undergraduate learners.

International students applying for their first year of undergraduate studies at Clark University may qualify for various merit scholarships offered by the institution.

Upon submitting your admissions application, you will automatically be considered for several merit scholarships. It is important to note that the Presidential Scholarship requires a separate application, while the other merit scholarships do not.

Eligibility for these scholarships is based on academic performance as reflected in your admission application, rather than financial need. Nonetheless, international students who are eligible for scholarships are still expected to demonstrate the capacity to cover a substantial portion of their educational expenses. This requirement also applies to those seeking the Presidential Scholarship. Typically, international students at Clark incur costs ranging from $25,000 to $45,000 annually.

If you are granted a merit scholarship, you will be informed of this decision alongside your admissions notification.

If you’re keen on the Presidential Scholarship, just select that option while completing the Common Application, which will be available starting August 1. After that, you’ll get comprehensive details, including the subjects for the two short essays required for the scholarship application. Remember, the essays must be submitted by February 1 for candidates applying through Early Action, Early Decision, or Regular Decision. In March, students will find out if they’ve been chosen for an interview. The Admissions Committee evaluates finalists based on the quality of their admission applications and other criteria set by the committee. Last year, over 450 scholarship applications from both the U.S. and international students were reviewed, leading to 15 finalists being invited for interviews. Ultimately, five of those finalists received the scholarship and joined the incoming class, with typically one or two international students being awarded this honor each year.
